Backsplash - Fused Glass Tiles
This project measures approx. 80" x 32" at the longest dimensions. The panels are organically cut to the shape of the design so there is no visual interference with the overall impact. Many of the tiles were fired 3 times in the kiln to provide just the right look (colour and additional elements). Chris and I had a great time with this as the central "eye" shape was a doodle sketched a few years ago. We wanted to translate it into a glass piece but couldn't find just the right location. Fortunately, we met a nice couple from Vernon, BC, who were looking for something to spruce up their kitchen. After the initial interior pictures of their home were received, Chris and I knew that we had found a "home".
